OAKLAND, Calif., July 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Since Dreyer's launched Slow Churned Yogurt Blends in 2007, the frozen yogurt trend has continued to grow impressively, leading the company to introduce two new mouthwatering flavors this year. Peach captures the juicy ripeness of summer peaches. Berry Granola combines a flavor burst of farm-fresh berries with the satisfying crunch of granola.

"Frozen yogurt is hot," said Darcy Horn, Senior Brand Manager for Dreyer's Slow Churned. "As the only national brand of frozen yogurt, we are expanding our line to give consumers the widest choice of flavors."

Dreyer's exclusive Slow Churned technology creates frozen yogurt blends with a sumptuous mouth feel that tastes like the richest, most fabulous, calorie-laden dessert. But actually Dreyer's Slow Churned Yogurt Blends contain less sugar and fewer calories than a serving of refrigerator yogurt. And not only are the frozen yogurt blends deceptively lower in sugar and calories, they also have live and active cultures that may help maintain a healthy digestive system, while providing a good source of calcium.

The new flavors will join Vanilla, Caramel Praline Crunch, Cappuccino Chip, Strawberry, Black Cherry Vanilla Swirl, Chocolate Brownie Fudge and Chocolate Vanilla Swirl in the frozen food case of the supermarket.

Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream Holdings, Inc., and its subsidiaries manufacture and distribute a full spectrum of ice cream and frozen dessert products. Brands of frozen dessert products currently manufactured or distributed by Dreyer's in the United States include Grand, Slow Churned(R), Dibs(R), Haagen- Dazs(R), Nestle(R) Drumstick(R), Nestle Crunch(R), Nestle(R) Butterfinger(R), Nestle(R) Toll House(R), Nestle(R) Carnation(R), Nestle(R) Push-Up(R), Frosty Paws(R), Eskimo Pie(R), Chipwich(R), Fruit Bars, Starbucks(R) and The Skinny Cow(R). The company's premium products are marketed under the Dreyer's brand name throughout the Western states and Texas, and under the Edy's(R) brand name throughout the remainder of the United States. Internationally, the Dreyer's brand extends to select markets in the Far East and the Edy's brand extends to the Caribbean and South America.
