ACS&T Logistics, the UK’s leading provider of frozen food transport and storage, has appointed Steve Tomlinson as the new Financial Director. Steve is joining ACS&T at a pivotal point, as the business has recently been expanded into three new divisions, covering temperature controlled services, production support and co-packing.

Steve joins ACS&T having worked as Head of Finance at TDG Temperature Controlled Services for the past 7 years. Prior to that, Steve worked as Financial Controller for a number of companies, most notably at Stanley Tools Inc. He also has experience working in accountancy, both in management accounting and auditing roles.

ACS&T Logistics’ Sales and Commercial Director Carl Robinson said: “We are delighted with Steve’s appointment. He has extensive experience in the industry, and his particular knowledge of energy efficiency programmes will prove increasingly beneficial to ACS&T’s expansion given the constant rise in energy prices!”

Steve Tomlinson commented on his appointment: “ACS&T have ambitious plans to grow the business over the next few years, and I am looking forward to using my skills and experience in cost management to help achieve these goals. I aim to make the right investments, and will be working closely with the other directors to drive the growth of the company.”

ACS&T Logistics’ services are provided from four centres: Grimsby (Headquarters) Wolverhampton, Tewkesbury and Scarborough. The business currently operates 14 cold stores, 2 ambient stores, extensive co-packing facilities and large, dedicated and shared-user multi-temp transport fleets. ACS&T Logistics is a wholly owned subsidiary of Camellia plc. Camellia is an international investment company with a long-term outlook on each of its trading companies. The turnover of the group is £160M, and it employs 75,000 people in 15 companies. Forty per cent of the group’s revenue is generated from UK operations. In addition to food storage and distribution, Camellia operates in engineering, agriculture, banking and pharmaceuticals. The company is also the world’s largest independent tea producer.
