EcoFlora will launch a unique and innovative natural sky blue colour in October this year, derived from the edible fruit of jagua (Genipa americana). EcoFlora’s colorant offers an ideal alternative to synthetic blue colorants that are increasingly restricted.

The jagua fruit has been used for centuries by the indigenous people’s of Colombia and is abundantly found in the country’s tropical rain forests.
Following sustainable harvesting, through its proprietary technology, EcoFlora has been able to stabilize and standardize the blue colour found in jagua juice, obtaining a solution that is stable at high temperatures (up to 150°C) and in a wide range of pH and UV conditions. The colorant is suitable for a wide variety of food applications, including confectionary, dairy, and beverages.
