 | | INVESTMENT GIVES ROBERTS RECIPE FOR SUCCESS | | | Roberts of Port Dinorwic Ltd | | 02/06/2008 | | | Leading food manufacturer, Roberts of Port Dinorwic Ltd, has recently boosted its production facilities with investment of over £250,000 in new equipment.
Roberts, which manufactures meals for the food service industry as well meat products for the food processing sector, says the new equipment will help it meet its customers' needs by allowing it to offer increased flexibility in production.
The equipment, installed at the company's facility in North Wales, will give even better portion control and more uniformity of product. The company's low risk area dealing with raw pre cook portioning has been upgraded with the addition of a new slicing machine giving much greater flexibility, as well as a new packaging line which allows the company to increase pack size options.
With the addition of more packaging equipment in the finished product area, small packs and those suitable for retail can now be prepared in a range of sizes.
In addition, a new marinating facility will enable Roberts to develop many exciting recipes adding new flavours to traditional dishes and products, allowing customers to offer an increased range of value added menu choices or meal ideas.
Roberts' trading director Miriam Roberts said: "We have built our reputation over the past 80 years on our willingness to innovate and tailor products to meet specific customer requirements in terms of recipe ideas, cooking methods and flexibility of use."
She added: "This investment will benefit our customers and help us to continue to offer the very best quality, portion and cost controlled products available. It is part of our ongoing development strategy to ensure that we have the flexibility to offer the range of products our customers want within the price parameters they stipulate." | |
