Two of Europe’s most innovative food equipment companies have joined forces to bring manufacturers new options in cold fill sauce production.

Pursuit Dynamics and Air Products have collaborated to launch the revolutionary PDX® Sonic and the Freshline® Continuous Sauce Chiller as an integrated single line production unit.

The unique combined solution for cooking and chilling sauces dramatically reduces processing time and significantly increases manufacturers’ throughput capacity. Crucially, the system maximises plant cost-effectiveness by remaining within or even reducing the existing equipment footprint.

Unlike traditional processing equipment, this new system can be retrofitted readily into existing plant layouts. This provides manufacturers with improved versatility and compatibility with existing production processes.

In addition to enabling unprecedented speeds in sauce production, the PDX Sonic and Freshline Continuous Sauce Chiller offer manufacturers numerous environmental advantages. These include reduced product waste, repeatable automatic processes, reduced CIP/effluent requirements and more efficient energy use.

To enable customers to experience the potential this innovative technology presents, Pursuit Dynamics offers the opportunity to see the system in action at its site in Huntingdon, UK.

Stephen Davies, CEO, Pursuit Processing Equipment, commented, “The combination of the PDX Sonic and the Freshline Continuous Chiller is an ideal solution for forward-thinking sauce manufacturers throughout Europe. Both Pursuit Dynamics and Air Products are committed to bringing customers new ways of reducing costs and increasing productivity while remaining environmentally friendly.”

Uwe Rosenbaum, new business development manager, Food, Air Products Europe, says, “The combined system allows for rapid sauce cooking and chilling and can fit easily within limited floor space, making it ideal for food processors looking for new solutions in sauce manufacturing. This joint technology offering represents an exciting opportunity for innovators in the growing sauce market.”
