The mission of Naturalpha is to assess the proof of health of products at every stage of their development and marketing process.
Cardialpha becomes today Naturalpha, a biotechnology company specialized in consulting and research in Nutrition and Health. This new name for the company, founded in 2001, answers the evolution of its activity characterized since three years by the increasing presence of the food industry alongside the pharmaceutical industry. With a multidisciplinary team of 25 people (Physicians, Engineers, Research Scientists and dieticians), Naturalpha has developed a wide range of expertise allowing the food and pharmaceutical industries to obtain a scientific validation of their products in development. The company provides three main fields of competence, which allow to shorten the R&D and launch processes for drugs and ingredients / functional foods.
- Scientific, strategic and regulatory Intelligence: the company has set up several tools in order to advise its industrial partners in the implementation of research strategies throughout the entire development process (drawing of specification sheet, writing of scientific papers/dossiers, setting up of research strategies, constitution of regulatory dossier). Moreover, Naturalpha has already developed a wide-spread web portal with information in nutrition and health named Nutrialpha, which offers industrials a specialised tool dedicated to scientific and regulatory intelligence.
- Proof of efficacy in lab models: this stage includes the conception and set up of preclinical studies, whose objective is to validate health claims and effects using numerous in vitro and in vivo models. Thanks to the close partnership with the Biopharmaceutical company Genfit, Naturalpha has access to several cutting-edge technological platforms and more than a hundred animals and cellular models.
- Proof of efficacy in human: Naturalpha intervenes in all stages of clinical trials (feasibility studies, design and follow-up of protocols, quality audits, editing of white papers, large-scale clinical studies, submission of regulatory dossiers…) through a network of more than 250 investigator centers in 17 countries, and through the implementation of several international expert committees ("Task Forces").
